Treasure Tuesday's Fabulous Find
Today's treasure comes to you from online estate sale company Everything But The House. I have purchase several things from this company's sales. This is a large, 45"h x 57"w framed Gaylord Soli limited edition, hand painted, "multiple original".
Here are a couple reasons I got the great price of $121.
1. They person who listed it couldn't read the signature and posted it as Gayla S., not Gaylord S.
2. It's a fairly large piece and would have been expensive to ship so luckily for me the pick up location is 30 minutes from my house.
3. The piece was photographed the wrong side up. They auction company displayed it vertically, rather than horizontally.
When you're fortunate enough to find a Gallery able on the back, google the gallery and take a look at the artists and price points of art they represent. This should help you get an idea of value range.
I found the piece at a couple online galleries. Average price was $3,200. Not bad considering I paid $121, that less than 1/20th of retail value.
