Treasure Tuesday's Fabulous Thrift Find

Since I didn't find anything fabulous this week, today's fabulous find is from my archives, AKA my house.  One day several years I stopped by my favorite upholstery shop to chit chat.  I ended up parking in front of a dusty little shop.  How could any thrifter pass up an unexplored thrift shop.  This mirror was hanging on a wall, and was priced at $175.  It's approximately 3'x 4' so it was perfect for my entryway.  Upon closer inspection it was clear that it wasn't a wood finish, it was glazed goatskin also know as "parchment".  The $175 price went from alright to fantastic after this discovery.

When I got it home it really looked familiar so I said to my partner it look like a J Robert Scott piece.  He laughed and said well... maybe that why it's market JR Scott on the back.  Even master thrifter can miss the obvious when floating in the euphoria of a fabulous find.  This mirror has hung in 3 different homes and gone from room to room for about the last decade.  A great piece really is a long term investment.

I found this one online, but was already sold and the seller didn't list the price.  I emailed them, and they were kind enough to give me an estimate.
