Treasure Tuesday's Fabulous Thrift Find
Today's fabulous find comes to you from a Charity thrift store in Canoga Park California. I was in the area for an appointment, and couldn't leave without taking a look at the local thrift shops.
On my way out, and empty-handed I noticed this cut crystal centerpiece on a shelf at the front counter. Soon as I picked it up I knew it was good quality. It was heavy, a and the facets were crisp which indicated cut lead crystal, verses moulded crystal.
I flipped the piece over and to my surprise there was no signature on the bottom. So I took my time and looked over all the surfaces until I found a Waterford acid etched mark on the lower side of the bowl. At a price of $10 why on earth would I leave without it.
Since the bowl is no longer in production except by special order this was the only one I could find for sale. $359.95 bowl for $10!

My new acquisition sitting on the front seat of my car.
The centerpiece ended up working well with a pair of candlesticks I received as a housewarming gift from a good friend. I like centerpieces that look nice on their own, so I don't have to constantly fill it with something.
