Design Inspiration, and How to Make it Your Own.
Believe it or not this room's look wouldn't be terribly difficult to replicate from thrift and estate sale finds. It just takes some patience.
1) The chairs are basic French oval back side chairs. It's a pretty easy task to find at resale furniture shops, estate sales, craigslist, and on-line auctions. These appear to by by Baker Furniture, by Barbara Barry.
Tip 1: By using the more elaborate, hence expensive fabric only on the backs save a lot of money. You can find amazing deals on designer fabrics on eBay. The fabric looks like either Scalamandre, or Brunschwig & Fils. Found similar fabric on eBay. Click Here
Tip 2: If you see a fabric in a design magazine you love, write down the maker, and if listed pattern name. Armed with the manufacture's name you can just type that info into the eBay search window and see what pops up. Overstock Upholstery Fabrics is a favorite resource of mine for Clarence House fabrics.
2) The chandelier is either vintage, or vintage inspired. You could easily replace it with something more subtle if it's just to glam, glam for your taste.
Tip 1: When buying vintage have the wiring checked to see if it is in good condition.
Tip 2: What if you find a chandelier frame you love, but it's missing crystals? Not to worry, there are lots of crystals available at garage sales and eBay. You can even buy an ugly chandelier with great crystals prisms, and use this crystals to replace the missing ones on your fixture of choice
3) Round dining tables have been popular for decades so there are many available at all the regular thrifting spots.
4) The large painting could be replicated by buying a large canvas and painting it yourself. Hotel furniture liquidators have great prices on artwork. One of my favorites is Hotel Surplus.
